After adding a new model to the V series earlier this month, NEC is back again with two new super-slim models of its specialty X Series commercial displays. Latest addition to the company’s family of digital signage, the 46-inch X462S and 55-inch X552S are industrial-grade large-screen Full HD LCD display. The LED-backlighting technology enables reduced power consumption and thinner and lightweight design for flexibility for a variety of installations, allowing for the most challenging applications in retail, hospitality and government.
The X462S and X552S both feature 1920×1080 Full HD natve resolution, 3000:1 contrast ratio and 500/700cd/m2 brightness. For extended run times, NEC eqipped the displays with commercial LCD panel and components. These super slim displays has an Open Pluggable Specification (OPS) slot for simplified installations, use and maintenance of digital signage. DisplayPort, HDMI, and DVI-D in/out connections are all available and there are also RS-232, LAN and DDC/CI for external control.
Like other NEC’s commercial displays, they support TileMatrix for building video walls up to 100 displays in 10 x 10 configurations. The built-in real-time clock allows business to set schedules for on/off times 24/7 and to warm up 30 minutes before use for optimum color representation.
NEC’s X462S and X552S are priced at $1999 and $3999, respectively. The X462S-AVT and X552S-AVT models with built-in ATSC digital tuner are priced at $2199 and $3299, respectively. There are also $2949 X462S-PC and $4049 X552S-PC solutions with bundled a single board computer (OPS-PCAF-WS).
