NEC adds to its V-series of commercial-grade displays the new V423 with LED backlighting. The 42-inch display uses edge-lit LED backlight for reduced power consumption and a slimmer cabinet depth and lightweight design. The large-screen business display is suitable for applications that require extended use, such as retail stores, restaurants, indoor venues, training facilities and corporate boardrooms.
NEC‘s V423 features 1920×1080 Full HD native resolution, 1300:1 contrast ratio and a maximum 450cd/m2 brightness. It features an Open Pluggable Specification (OPS) compliant expansion slot that allows for integration of a computer other NEC/third-party accessories, making the display future-proof. Like NEC’s other commercial displays, the new model supports TileMatrix that enables business to build video walls up to 10×10.
The commercial display comes equipped with a built-in 10-watt speaker. Other than DisplayPort, HDMI, DVI-D in/out, D-sub VGA (Composite, Component, S-Video) inputs, the V423 also offers RS-232C, Ethernet RK45, IR Remote and DDC/CI external control connectors. The V423-AVT model comes with built-in ATSC digital TV for high-def broadcast reception, while the V423-PC model will come bundled with a single board computer (OPS-PCAF-WS).
The V423 is priced at $899, while the V423-AVT and V423-PC models are priced at $1099 and $1699, respectively.
