QNAP brings two new high-performance Turbo NAS servers to the US market for high-end SMBs. The affordable 12-bay TS-1270U-RP and 8GB TS-870U-RP both include 10GbE capability. Both servers are powered by Intel’s dual-core 2.4Ghz processor and 4GB DDR3 RAM (max 16GB).
With 10GbE support, the new Turbo NAS devices are ideal for business applications such as iSCSI IP-SAN, server virtualization, high speed backup, video storage, and centralized shared storage. They are VMware-ready, Citrix-ready and Hyper-V compliant. Theere are two Gigabit RJ45 ports and can be expanded to up to six using the optional 10GbE network card. The servers can accomodate 3.5-inch or 2.5-inch SATA II/III hard drive or SSD.
The TS-1270U-RP and TS-870U-RP come in 2U rackmount form factor. They provide two USB 3.0 ports, four USB 2.0 ports and two eSATA ports.
