Sony introduced a new rugged camera, the Cyber-shot DSC-TF1 designed for active shooters for weekend adventures and family vacations. The tough camera is four-proof so you can take it on every adventure in any weather to capture every moment. With large buttons, beefy camera grip and auto screen brightness, the camera is easy to operate in outdoor and underwater activities.
The Sony TF1 is waterproof to 33 feet, dustproof, shockproof from falls of about 5 feet and freeze-proof to withstand temperature as low as 14 degree Fahrenheit so you can capture videos and photos when you go skiing, snorkeling, hiking and more. It sports a 16.1 Megapixel Super HAD CCD image sensor and a 4x optical zoom Sony lens, and features Optical SteadyShot image stabilization with 2-way active mode to deliver blur-free, clear images.
The waterproof Cyber-shot is capable of 1280x720p HD video recording and its Sweep Panorama mode allows you to capture panoramic shots of up to 360 degrees. You can add a creative touch to your photos with Pture Effects, including Toy camera, Pop Color, Partial color and Soft high-key. Other features include Face Detection, In-camera Editing, Intelligent Auto, Scene Modes and D-Range Optimizer. The rugged camera has a 2.7-inch LCD display and supports Memory Stick Micro and microSD/SDHC memory cards.
Sony is going to ship the Cyber-shot TF1 on 8 February for $199.99. It comes in black, blue, and red.
