As you might know, Sony has released its 84-inch BRAVIA XBR-84X900 4K Ultra HD TV in the US. The super high definition TV is just huge, but the problem is there’s just no 4K contents to play on it. Seeing this, Sony unveils the 4K Ultra HD Video Player to deliver 4K Ultra HD video content in the home. It is available with the XBR-84X900 TV as a no-cost loan unit.
While Sony’s XBR-84X900 is able to upscale all videos inputs to near-4K resolution using the 4K X-Reality PRO three-chip picture engine, real 4K videos are what consumers really want. The 4K Ultra HD Video Player is built to bring true 4K Ultra HD videos, featuring a hard drive pre-loaded with 10 full-length movies such as The Amazing Spiderman, Total Recall (2012), The Karate Kid (2010). There are also a collection of 4K video shorts, including Red Bull Media House’s exclusive 4K videos The Athlete Machine: Red Bull Kluge.
In case you don’t know, Sony’s BRAVIA XBR-84X900 4K TV is priced at $24,999.99.
