Networking devices maker D-Link adds to its line of security camera the new HD PoE Outdoor Cloud Camera (model DCS-2310L) ideal for homeowners to keep an eye on property or visitors at the front door. The new camera supports Power-over-Ethernet (PoE), meaning only one cable is needed for data connection and power.
The DCS-2310Lis the D-Link’s first outdoor camera with mydlink cloud service that allows users to access live video feed and remote manage the camera from any Internet-connected devices, including iOS and Androids smartphones and tablets. The camera sports a 1 Megapixel CMOS sensor and records 720p HD video with rich detail and quality images. With night vision technology, it works day and night and is able to see up to 15 feet in the dark; while the Motion Detection technology will trigger recording and send email alerts.
As mentioned above, the Outdoor Cloud Camera DCS-2310L is outdoor-ready. It is equipped with a IP65 weatherproof casing to handle dust and low-pressure water contact, as well as -13°F to 122°F operating temperature range. The outdoor security camera is easy to setup and is available for $306.11.
