Elgato is launching the US its EyeTV Mobile, a mobile TV tuner accessory for iOS device that turns iPhone, iPad and iPod touch into portable TV. The US version of EyeTV Mobile supports ATSC-Mobile broadcast standard and is compatible with Dyle mobile TV service. Working with the free EyeTV mobile app, Elgato’s ultra-compact mobile TV allows users to watch live TV on their iOS devices.
The EyeTV Mobile comes with a miniature aerial (MCX), a rod aerial with magnetic base and removable suction cup. It connects to the dock connector or iOS devices and works with iPhone 4/4S, iPad, iPad 2/3 and iPod touch 4th gen. It is also compatible with new iPhone 5, iPod touch 5th gen, iPod 4 and iPad mini using the Lightning to 30-pin adapter. The free EyeTV Mobile app requires iOS 5.1 or above.
