Google introduces the all-new lightweight Samsung Chromebook (Model: XE303C12). Measuring less than an inch thick and weighing less than 2.5 pounds, the new Chromebook has a sleek design. The 11.6-inch laptop runs Google’s Chrome OS and boots up in under 10 seconds and resumes from sleep mode in one second.
Instead of x86 processor, the new Chromebook is powered by Samsung’s Exynos 5230 ARM A-15 dual-core 1.7GHz processor. It packs 2GB of RAM and a 16GB SSD for storage. The 11.6-inch screen has 1366×768 resolution and 200-nit brightness. The laptop also sports full-size Chrome keyboard, WiFi 802.11b/g/n, 1.5Wx2 speakers and TPM security. Its battery offers up to 6.3 hours of use.
The new Samsung Chromebook XE303C12 is priced at $249.99. There is also a $329.99 3G version with 2 year Verizon 3G service (up to 100MB per month).
