B&O PLAY, a brand by Bang & Olufsen, introduces its new BeoPlay A9 wireless speaker system. Designed and crafted like a piece of furniture, the A9 is a 2.1 bass reflex loudspeaker system with five dedicated speaker units and amps to deliver a total output of 480-watt. It also features a fine-tuned DSP (digital signal processor) algorithm to deliver life-like sound, and Adaptive Bass Linearization technology to offer rich bass.
The BeoPlay A9 supports AirPlay and DLNA for wireless music streaming from iPhone, iPad as well as Android devices and other DLNA-compatible audio sources. The speaker sports two 3/4-inch tweeters and two 3-inch midrange units, all four driven by separate 80-watt class D amplifiers; and a 8-inch bass unit powered by 160 watts class D amplifier. It has three pre-set sound modes for wall, corner and freestanding. The A9 also provides line-in jack for direct audio playback and a USB port for charing your device.
The BeoPlay A9 comes in white and users can personalize it with colorful fabric covers in silver, red, green, brown and black. It can be placed on the floor or hung on the wall. Coming in November, B&O PLAY’s new speaker will be available for $2699.
