Logitech introduces the UE Smart Radio, a WiFi music device that plays Internet radio, online music services and the music on your PC or Mac. The player features Ethernet LAN and WiFi 802.11b/g to connect to the network for pulling audio from Internet radio stations, online music services such as Spotify, Rhapsody, Last.fm, Deezer, MOG and Pandora. It can also play your personal music collection stored on PC or Mac computer.
The UE Smart Radio has a 2.4-inch color LCD display for showing album art, track and station information, and six preset buttons for one-touch access to favorite radio stations and playlists. It sports a 3/4-inch soft-dome tweeter and 3-inch high-power, long-throw woofer and a bi-amplified class D design with digital electronic crossover to deliver Ultimate Ears’ signature sound. You can use the UE Smart Radio Controller app for iPhone, iPad and Android to turn your smartphone or tablet into a master music controller.
Other features include alarm clock with 7 days of settings, ambient light sensor to adjust display brightness and a 3.5 line-in jack for playback from other audio sources. The rechargeable battery provides up to 6 hours of playback. It is priced at $179.99.
