NEC launches the new X401 super-slim professional-grade LED-backlit LCD display. Thanks to LED-backlight, the display comes with a lightweight design with a minimal 1.7-inch depth and a low power consumption. The 40-inch display uses industrial-grade SPVA panel with 1920×1080 Full HD resolution. It offers up to 700cd/m2 brightness, 3500:1 contrast ratio, 120Hz refresh rate, 178/178-degree viewing angle.
With internal temperature sensor with self-diagnostics and integrated cooling fans, the X401S can be used in robust 24/6 environments. It supports TileMatrix technology for users to build video walls up to 10×10, and Intel’s Open Pluggable Specification (OPS) standardized option slot that simplifies digital signage installations. The super thin display has D-Sub, DVI-D, HDMI, DisplayPort inputs and Ethernet, RS-232 control terminals.
The NEC X401S will be available in November for $1699. There are also the $1899 X401S-AVT model with SB-03TB ATSC digital tuner module, and the $2649 X401S-PC Digital Signage Solution bundble that includes the display and OPS-PCAF-WS computer.
