HTC announced its new flagship Windows Phone 8 smartphone, the 8X with a new iconic design, continuous form and unibody construction. HTC said the phone’s perfect-fit design makes it the most comfortable phone you’ll ever hold. Like HTC’s Android offerings, the new handset comes with built-in amplifier for Beats Audio for to deliver clear, detailed and high-quality sound.
The 8X is powered by a Qualcomm S4 1.5Ghz dual-core processor wit 1GB of RAM. It sports a 4.3-inch 1280×720 HD Super LCD touchscreen display with Gorilla Glass 2, a 8 Megapixel main camera with auto focus, LED flash, f2.0, 28mm lens and BSI sensor and a 2.1 Megapixel front-facing camera 88-degree ultra-wide-angle that captures nearly triple the area of most other front cameras. Both cameras can do Full HD 1080p video recording. As for connectivity, the 8X supports Bluetooth 2.1, WiFi 802.11b/g/n, GPS/AGPS and GLONASS as well as NFC.
The HTC 8X comes with 16GB onboard storage, and has NO card slots for expansion. It will be available in November in vibrant colors – California Blue, Graphite Black, Flame Red and Limelight Yellow with matte finish.
