To shot film-like videos, the camcorder can shot video in 24p prograssive mode with CinemaTone Gamma and CinemaTone Color presets to precisely control cinematic grading effects. It also sports Quad Capsule Spatial Array Stereo Microphone with four omnidirectional capsules for high-quality 5.1 Dolby surround audio recording. The Handycam provides comprehensive manual control with Aperture priority, Shutter speed Priority and Manual modes, and allows full control over Iris, Gain and Shutter to dapt to almost any lighting condition to get the best shot.
