Panasonic launches in the US a new Full HD 3D home theater projector. Called PT-AE8000U, the projector offers high quality 2D images and advanced 3D features to deliver a natural and comfortable movie theater experience at home. It is equipped with Full HD LCD panels that are designed for 480Mhz processing capability for bright 3D images.
Equipped with 220W Red Rich Lamp, the Full HD PT-AE8000U offers a 2400 lumens of brightness. It also features Pure Contrast Plates that match the LCD panel characteristics to virtually eliminating light leakage and generate deeper black. The Plates works together with Pure Color Filter Pro and Dynamic Iris technologies to achieve 500,000:1 contrast ratio. The projector includes Intelligent Lens Memory that automatically detects and switches the lens and focus position and improved Advanced Gamma Adjustment function that allows users to control the gamma curve and more precisely calibrate the projector.
To deliver a natural 3D viewing at home, Panasonic’s new projector features the 3D Motion Remaster technology that interpolates an image between alternately created right and left images caused by the active shutter system and, as a result, enables smooth, continuous and properly positioned 3D images. Users can use the 3D Viewing Monitor and 3D Picture Balance features to customize their viewing experience. The PT-AE8000U comes with enhanced Detail Clarity Processor 4 and Frame Creation 2 that are optimized for 3D images, and the latter is available during 2D-3D conversion. It comes with built-in IR transmitter to synchronize with active shutter 3D glasses.
Panasonic PT-AE8000U home theater projector has three HDMI inputs with support for DeepColor and x.v. Color, D-sub, RCA, S-video, as well as two 12V Triggers for more home theater automation. It comes equipped with a 2x zoom lens and wide range of lens shift, and can be installed from the ceiling or mounted to a wall with +/- 100 percent vertical adjustment and +/- 26 percent horizontal adjustment.
