Epson introduces its range of PowerLite Full HD 1080p home theater projectors, including the PowerLite Pro Cinema 6020UB and PowerLite Home Cinema 5020UB/5020UBe, for home cinema enthusiasts and custom installers. All of them feature Full HD resolution with 480Hz Bright 3D Drive Technology that minimizes the blackout time of 3D glasses and improve light output in 3D mode, and 2D-to-3D conversion that can transform any 2D movies to 3D. Each of the projectors comes with RF 3D glasses that last up to 40 hours.
The 6020UB and 5020UB/5020UBe sport Fujinon OptiCinema lens with 2.1x zoom and a 230W E-TORL lamp with up to 5000 hours of lamp life. Epson’s new projectors, based on 3LCD technology, also delivers up to 2400 lumens of brightness and 320,000:1 contrast ratio for showing true black. They include Super Resolution technology and FineFrame Technology for smoother frame interpolation and sharper video quality (2D Mode), and THX certification for accurate picture quality. The Split Screen feature allows users to show two pictures at once or watching TV and using the Internet at the same time, while the cinema filter allows for larger color space for improved color fidelity.
The more advanced Pro Cinema 6020UB adds two anamorphic lens modes, ISF calibration, color isolation, a ceiling mount, cable cover and extra lamp for added installation flexibility and customization; and the 5020UBe supports Wireless HD and is equipped with a wireless transmitter to connect up to five devices via HDMI simultaneously.
All these home theater projectors have two HDMI, VGA, component and composite video inputs and RCA audio and USB port. The 6020UB will be available in November at about $4000 while the 5020UB/5020UBe will come in October for $3000.
