Elgato introduces two new DVB-T TV Tuners for mobile devices, the smaller EyeTV Mobile for iPhone and iPad, and the EyeTV Micro for Android smartphones and tablets. Both tuners support DVB-T broadcast and comes in ultra-compact form factor. The former connects to iPad or iPhone’s dock connector while the latter uses micro USB port for connection.
The updated EyeTV Mobile works with the new iPad (3rd gen), iPad 2 and iPhone 4S. The EyeTV Micro, designed fro Android, replaces the dock connector with micro USB connector. It will work with Android smart devices with a dual-core CPU, NEON support and Android 4.0.3 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system. The EyeTV Micro, thanks to the use of USB, can also be connected to a Mac or Windows computer using the included USB adapter cable for watching DVB-T broadcast on a bigger screen.
The EyeTV Mobile for iPhone/iPad and the EyeTV Micro for Android will be available in September for $99.95 and $69.96, respectively.
