Garmin adds to its Forerunner watch line the new Forerunner 10 GPS running watch, “a vibrant, intuitive and affordable solution for runners, joggers and walkers of all levels.” As a easy to use running watch, the Forerunner 10 will show runners their time, distance, pace and calories for performance tracking. Runners can also review previous runs, and change Auto Lap, Auto Pause, set alarm, or edit user profile using the friendly menu system.
The Forerunner 10 can store runner’ seven previous runs, and it will give runners a summary of how they did, including their total time, distance, average pace and calories once a run is completed. It offers a couple of simple training features such as Virtual Pacer, which compares the current running pace to the target pace. Users can connect the watch to a Windows PC or Mac via USB and upload running data to Garmin Connect.
Garmin’s new running watch is equipped with high-sensitivity GPS receiver which can quickly acquire and sustain satellite reception. It is lightweight and is water resistant to 50 meters. The watch also looks fashionable, coming in three colors – sporty green, pink, and black with red accents. It is priced at $129.99.
