NuForce introduces its new DDA-100, a direct-digital integrated amplifier designed for audiophile. Unlike other amplifiers, NuForce’s new offering features a new design that converts digital audio signal into analog form at the last stage, the PWM amplifier output. Instead of typical DAC stage, the unit’s PWM power amplifier stage is modulated directly by the incoming signal, and the digital-to-analog conversion takes place at the speaker outputs.
The DDA-100, a digital-only amplifier, is able to give listeners the same level of performance as much more expensive audio gears, according to NuForce. The amplifier provides four inputs, two TOSLINK optical inputs, one coaxial and one USB. It provides 75Wx2 (4 Ohm) output and 250-watt peak per channel capability. You can expect 96kHz input sampling rate, and 3GB/s over-sampling rate for smoother, more natural reproduction. A remote control is included for you to control inputs and volume.
The NuForce DDA-100 digital amplifier is priced at $549. There are silver and black models.
