LaCie releases its RuggedKey, a rugged USB 3.0 flash drive designed by Neil Poulton. The drive features heat and cold resistance to protect your data in extreme environment and is IP54 certified for water and dust resistance. It also comes with a orange rubber bumper that protects the drive from 100 meter drop.
The RuggedKey not only protects your data with its touch body, but also feature AES 256-bit encryption to prevent unauthorized access. Using USB 3.0 inteface, it provides up to 150MB/s transfer speeds, and is backward compatible with USB 2.0.
LaCie’s RuggedKey is available in 16GB and 32GB capacities, which are priced at $39.99 and $69.99, respectively.
