Samsung releases its entry-level, compact mirrorless camera, the NX1000 in the US. As the most budget-friendly NX SMART camera from Samsung, the NX1000 available with an 18-200mm lens for $699.99. One of the notable features of the mirrorless is built-in WiFi connectivity that allows users to instantly upload images and video to social networking sites like Facebook, Picasa, and YouTube, to the cloud with Microsoft Sky Drive. Of course, you may also email photos directly.
Thanks to WiFi, users can also use Samsung’s Remote Viewfinder app to control settings and take pictures using their Galaxy smartphones and tablets. There is also Samsung MobileLink app for transferring and displaying images from the NX1000 onto Samsung phones, tablets, and Smart TVs. The camera also supports AllShare DLNA for wireless media streaming to DLNA-compatible devices.
The NX1000 sports a 20.3 Megapixel APS-C CMOS image sensor and uses Samsung’s own NX mount. It features ISO sensitivity up to 12800, Optical Image Stabilization for blur-free images, SmartAuto 2.0 mode and Smart Filter, 8fps high-speed shooting, 3D Panorama mode, Supersonic dust reduction, and a 3-inch LCD screen. The camera is capable of Full HD 1080p video recording.
