Magellan introduces the eXplorist 510 Marine Edition GPS navigation device for recreational boaters. The Marine Edition basically combines the eXplorist 510 Outdoor GPS device with a custom selection of Navionics marine navigation charts and data. It comes with high-definition content for 12,000 U.S. lakes, and U.S. coastal coverage up to two miles offshore, with data on 5-foot contours, tides, currents, wrecks, port plans, marsh areas, and marine services.
The eXplorist 510 feaures a 3-inch sunlight-readable color touchscreen, a 3.2 Megapixel auto focus camera, and built-in microphone and speaker. It is IPX7 waterproof. Coming in August, the Marine navigation device will be available for $479.99.
