Vizio, famous of making HDTVs, introduces the Co-Star (VAP430) Google TV settop box that designed to transform any HDTV into smart TV easily. Running Google TV, the Co-Star offers access to media streaming apps inclduing Netflix, Amazon Instant Video, M-GO, YouTube and iHeartRadio. It also has Chrome web browser with Flash Player and HTML 5 support, and Google Play for access to thousands of apps.
The Co-Star can connect to a cable or satellite box via HDMI input, merging live TV, web and apps into one interface. It even supports Picture-In-Picture for viewing apps and live TV at the same time. The Google TV box supports Full HD 1080p and 3D. It also supports OnLive Game Service for on-demand video gaming. It has built-in WiFi 802.11n, Ethernet LAN, and Bluetooth technology and is able to stream media from DLNA-enabled smartphones, tablets and computers. There are also USB port for direct media playback.
The Co-Star comes with a two-sided remote control featuring a trackpad and playback controls on one side, and a QWERTY keyboard and gaming buttons on the other. You can also use the free Google TV remote control app.
Vizio’s Co-Star is available for $99.99 and is now available for pre-order.
