Garmin Swim Training Watch for Swimmers

Garmin introduces the Swim, its first training watch designed specifically for swimmers. The slim watch lets users track stroke type, stroke count, distance, pace, lengths and more, and is able to track users’ workout and drills in real-time. With a sleek profile that cut right through the water, the Swim won’t cause drag or slow swimmers down, according to Garmin. The watch is water-resistant to 50 meters.

The Swim is able to automatically detect the stroke swimmers are using and tracks their lengths, strokes, distance, pace and more. It can also log drills or start timed sets, and even calculates swimmers’ swolf scores to help gauge efficiency. The watch can also be used as a daily watch and includes dual time zone and alarm functions. Its battery can last one year and is easy to replace at home. Thanks to ANT+ wireless technology, using the included USB dongle, swimmers can upload workout data wirelessly to computer, then to Garmin Connect website for free online analysis.

The Garmin Swim training watch is priced at $149.99.
