Acer released in the US the super slim Aspire S5 Ultrabook. Measuring just 0.44-inch at its thinnest and 0.59 at the thickest, the S5 is also lightweight at only 2.65 pounds. It gets a Onyx Black, magnesium-alloy and brushed metal chassis, which is delicately curved. According to Acer, the razor-thin S5 is the world’s thinnest Ultrabook and is the first Ultrabook to have Thunderbolt connector.

The Aspire S5 (model S5-391-9880) is powered by 3rd gen Intel Core i7-3517U Ivy Bridge processor, and sports a 256GB SSD for speedy data access. It features the MagicFlip I/O port panel that concealed just below the hinge, and with a press of the MagicFlip buttons, you can open the panel to use its USB 3.0, Thunderbolt and HDMI ports. The S5 comes with a 13.3-inch 1366×768 LED-backlit display and the HDMI output lets you brings content from notebook to a bigger screen. It also sports a 1.3 Megapixel HD webcam, WiFi connectivity and Dolby Home Theater v4 sound enhancement.

The Aspire S5 is also Acer’s first product in the US to come with AcerCloud that offers unlimited cloud storage and allows you share your music, video, photos and documents on the S5 with all other devices. The super slim Ultrabook starts at $1399.99.
