Seagate introduces its Backup Plus line of external storage devices that deliver one-click backup. Other than keeping a copy of files on your computer, the drive also has the ability to save and share your content on Facebook and Flickr. The new hard drive can work interchangeably with both Windows and Apple computers without reformatting.
The Backup Plus external drives use USB 3.0 interface and can be upgraded to Thunderbolt or FireWire easily with optional add-on adapters, just like the company’s own GoFlex. These drives come with the new Seagate Dashboard software, offering one-click backup and a single click path to Save (download) and Share (upload) personal photos and videos on Facebook and Flickr.
Seagate’s Backup Plus comes in Portable version and Desk version, and there are also Mac models with USB 2.0 and Firewire 800 (only for Desk drives) interfaces.
