Sony launches its VPL-VW1000ES 4K home theater projector, which, according to Sony, is the world’s first 4K projector designed for high-end home theater installations. The ES (Elevated Standard) projector utilizes 4K native SXRD panels to deliver 4096×2160 resolution, and it features Super Resolution 4K “upscaler” RealityCreation to dramatically enhance 2D and 3D 1080P content. Thanks to Iris3 technology, the projector has a 1,000,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio. It also offers 2,000 ANSI lumens brightness.
The VPL-VW1000ES is equipped with 4K All-Range Crisp Focus (ARC-F) lens with 2.1x zoom for optimized 4K images. The lens has a wide lens shift range of 80% vertical and 31% horizontal. The projector is equipped with built-in 3D transmitter to synchronise 3D glasses, and it is able to display anamorphic images and 3D without changing the lens.
The Sony VPL-VW1000ES has two HDMI, a component and a D-Sub inputs. It also provides Ethernet RJ45, RS232C, 12V trigger interfaces. It is also compatible with automation integrators and has AMX, Control 4 and Crestron certification. You can get the projector for $19149.99.
