Creative expands its Sound Blaster line with the latest Sound BlasterAxx range of speakers with a unique one-piece hexagonal design. The range comes in three sizes, the SBX 20, the medium-sized SBX 10 that includes all features of the SBX 20, and the ultra portable SBX 8. Only the two large models support Bluetooth for streaming music wirelessly from Bluetooth-enabled devices such as iPhone, iPad, Android phone as well as other smartphones, notebooks; and the SBX 8 needs a USB connection with PC or Mac.
Not just a speaker, the Sound BlasterAxx also does communication with dual-microphone array. Users can pair their mobile phones with the speakers for hands-free talking or connect with their communication system/PC for conference calls. They are powered by SB-Axx1 (Sound Blaster “Axxelerated” multi-core audio processor chip), providing SBX Pro Studio and CrystalVoice technology for enhanced listening and communication experience.
The SBX Pro Studio is a set of technologies to improve sound quality, including as SBX Crystalizer that restore details in the high and low frequencies, SBX Smart Volume that applies gain and attenuation to audio to deliver consistent volume levels and SBX Bass that fills in the missing low frequency tones. The CrystalVoice Technology is leveraged to enhanced communication experience, offering Acoustic Echo Cancellation that eliminates the echoes in a hands-free conference call, Noise Reduction that eliminating unwanted noise in background, Smart Volume that automatically adjusts the loudness of a voice to maintain a consistent volume level and Voice Focus that ensures precisely targeted voice pick-up.
These one-piece speakers work standalone when used with mobile devices and can be powered by any USB power adapter. The Sound BlasterAxx SBX 20 will be available in August for $199.99. The SBX 10 and SBX 8 will come in July for $149.99 and $99.99 respectively.
