Vivitek introduces the D8800, a new high-resolution, high brightness large venue projector. Based on DLP display technology, the projector features native WUXGA 1920×1200 resolution in 16:10 format and a dual-lamp (2x 400Watt) system offering up to 8,000 lumens of brightness and 3000:1 contrast ratio. Its dual-lamp switching technology allows 24/7 operation by switching to single lamp operation should one lamp go down.
Vivitek’s D8800 includes edge-blending for producing a large seamless image for scenarios like in concert or sports arenas as well as auditoriums. The projector features BrilliantColor for enhanced color reproduction. It provides HDMI, DVI-D, VGA, component, HD-SDI in/out as well as RS-232C, RJ45 and 12V tigger. The D8800 has Lens Posting Memory (LPS) to store up to 10 user defined lens positions for focus, zoom, and lens shift. Six interchangeable lens options are available.
Vivitek’s new large venue projector is priced at Euro 13,900.
