Sony’s Handycam HDR-CX760V is a Full HD digital camcorder with 96GB internal flash memory that is enough got up to 38 hours of HD video recording. It is almost identical to the HDR-PJ760V but lacks the built-in projector. Equipped with 6.1 Megapixel back-illuminated Exmor R CMOS sensor, the camcorder does 1920×1080 Full HD 60p/24p video recording and captures up to 24.1 Megapixel still images. It sports a 26mm wide angle Carl Zeiss lens with 10x optical zoom and 17x extended zoom.
The CX760V comes with a 3-inch Xtra Fine LCD display with TruBlack technology and a 0.27-inch Color EVF (electronic view finder). It features Balanced Optical SteadyShot imag stabilization with Active Mode, Tracking Focus, CinemaTone presets and 24p recording for cinematic quality video, Highlight Playback features, Intelligent Auto with 180 different scene combinations possible, and Golf shot. Sony also adds advanced capture and control features with expanded focus, zebra and peaking for precision focus and exposure adjustment. The camcorder is equipped with 5.1-channel surround mic for Dolby Digital 5.1 audio recording and Clear Phase stereo speakers. GPS receiver and NAVTEQ maps are also included for geotagging photos and videos. There are built-in flash and an Active Interface Shoe for attching accessories.
Like other new Sony camcorders, the CX760V has built-in USB cable for direct file and charging, with support for Direct Copy. It is priced at $1499.99.
