Sony’s Handycam HDR-PJ200 is an entry-level Full HD camcorder with built-in projector. Equipped with 1.3 Megapixel back-illuminated Exmor R CMOS image sensor, the camcorder records Full HD 1920×1080 video at up to 24Mbps and up to 5.3 Megapixel still images. The main feature of this model is its built-in projector, which is capable of producing up to a 100-inch high contrast 640×360 image onto any available wall. The PJ200 comes equipped with a 24x optical zoom Carl Zeiss Vario-Tessar lens, and it provides 30x Extended Zoom so you can get closer to the action. The camcorder features SteadyShot image stabilization with Active Mode for capturing blur-free smooth images; Tracking Focus that works as an extension of Face Detection to allow you to select an object with a touch of the LCD and have the focus follow the selected object; as well as Intelligent Auto mode that automatically selecting the appropriate settings from nine distinct scene modes (60 different combinations possible). There is also Highlight Playback feature that identifies and compiles key scenes into a short, entertaining movie complete with music and transitions
The Handycam HDR-PJ200 comes with a 2.7-inch Clear Photo LCD touchscreen. It has a built-in USB cable for easy file transfer and charge, and it supports Direct Copy to external hard drive without the need for a PC. The camcorder also comes with Clear Phase stereo speakers to deliver high-quality audio, and provides mini HDMI output. It has no internal memory but supports Memory Stick PRO Duo and SD/SDHC/SDXC memory cards.
