NVIDIA introduces its new GeForce GTX690 graphics card powered by dual Kepler-architecture-based GeForce GPUs. According to NVIDIA, a dual-GPU graphics card is similar to two-way SLI condensed into a single graphics card. The new GTX690 sports 3072 CUDA cores with a base clock speed of 915MHz and 1019MHz boost clock speed. It comes with 4GB of GDDR5 memory with 6Gbps memory speed.
The new card has an exterior frame made from trivalent chromium-plated aluminum for durability, and comes wth a fan housing made from a thixomolded magnesium alloy, which offers excellent heat dissipation and vibration dampening. It uses dual vapor chambers, a nickel-plated finstack and center-mounted axial fan with optimized fin pitch and air entry angles for efficient cooling. The GeForec GTX690 uses PCI Express 3.0 interface and provides three Dual-link DVI and a Mini DisplayPort.
