AT&T is launching in 11 March the updated Beat by Dr. Dre Beatbox, a portable high performance wireless audio system. The new Beatbox features a new design with easy-carry handles on both sides. It delivers “rich, full sounds with professional-grade sound engineering to play the music how the artist intended with a distortion-free sound at higher volume and real bass at all levels.”
The Beats by Dr. Dre Beatbox features a 5.25-inch woofer and comes with a full-featured remote with On/Off, Volume, Mute, Scan and Skip buttons. The audio system has built-in dock connector for iPhone and iPoad, and Bluetooth wireless technology for connecting to smartphones, tablets and other Bluetooth-enabled devices wirelessly. There is also 3.5mm jack for other audio sources. It can operate on either 6 D-cell batteries or a computer power supply.
AT&T will sell the Beats by Dr. Dre Beatbox for $399. The carrier will also carry other Beats products, including Beats Wireless HD Stereo Bluetooth Headphones ($280), Beats Solo HD Headphones ($200) and the $99 UR Beats In-ear Headphones.
