BenQ introduces the LX60ST and LW61ST education projectors featuring mercury-free blue core light engine for classrooms. According to the company, the BlueCore light engine utilizes the unparalleled qualities of a laser light source rather than a traditional mercury lamp to achieve up to 90 percent less light source power consumption, and the SmartEco Advanced technology optimizes the units’ light source systems to deliver exceptional brightness, longer life, and high-energy efficiency.
Based on DLP projection technology, the LX60ST and LW61ST offers 1280×800 WXGA and 1024×68 XGA resolution respectively. They have 2000 ANSI lumens brightness, and 80,000:1 contrast ratio, and are able to deliver images of up to 300-inch. The BlueCore projectors are equipped with 10Wx2 stereo speakers and microphone input, and support LAN Display and USB Display as well as iPad/iPhone wireless display. The LX60ST has a throw ratio of 0.6 and the LW61ST has 0.49 throw ratio.
The LX60ST and LW61ST provides HDMI 1.3, D-sub, composite, S-video inputs and USB ports, LAN port and RS232 control port.
