Another two new additions to the A-series, the PowerShot A1300 and PowerShot A810 are cameras powered by AA batteries. Each of them sports a 16 Megapixel image sensor, a 5x optical zoom lens with 28mm wide angle and a 2.7-inch LCD display. The A1300 also comes equipped with an optical viewfinder for the more traditional camera users.

The A1300 and A810 use two AA batteries so you need to worry about running out of batteries as you can always get AA batteries easily. The new cameras include Digital Image Stabilizatio that reduces the effect of camera shakes, SMART AUTO mode with 32 scenes that will automatically select the best setting based on the shooting environment. The A1300 and A810 both capture 1280x720p HD video and have a dedicated movie button.

The PowerShot A1300 and PowerShot A810 will be released in April. The former will come in black and silver for $199.99, and the latter in black, silver and red for $109.99.
