Optoma launches the ML500, an ultra-portable business projector based on DLP technology for the professional. Like its brother ML300, the ML500 has built-in media player and utilizes Single 0.45″ WXGA DMD Chip DLP Technology to deliver 1280×800 resolution. The ML500 offers a higher brightness with 500 ANSI lumens with LED light source with 20,000 hours of life.
Optoma’s new projector features 3000:1 contrast ratio and a throw ratio of 1.4:1. With built-in media player and file viewer, the ML500 does PC-free presentation. It supports video, audio and MS Office and PDF files. Other than D-sub, AV inputs found on most ultra-portable projectors, the ML500 has mini HDMI for connecting latest mobile devices such as tablets/smartphones with HDMI and iPad/iPhone (via Apple’s HDMI adapter). The projector comes with 2GB internal memory and supports SD cards up to 32GB for you to store files you are going to present.
The Optoma ML500 is equipped with built-in 2W speaker and comes with a remote control. It is 3D-ready. A carry case is included. The projector is available for $576.99.
