Following the CoolPix P500 last year, Nikon brings the new CoolPix P510 ultra zoom digital camera in 2012. While its predecessor P500 gets a 36x optical zoom lens, the P510 further the zoom range featuring a 42x optical Zoom-NIKKOR ED glass lens with 24mm wide angle. The camera is equipped with Nikon’s EXPEED C2 digital image processing engine to ensure quality images and videos. It is able to focus as close as 0.4 inches (1cm).
The CoolPix P510 sports a 16.1-megapixel Backside Illuminated (BSI) CMOS sensor and optical Vibration Reduction (VR) image stabilization to deliver excellent image quality even in low-light conditions. It comes with built-in GPS for geotagging images and movies with latitude and longitude location information. The camera supports high-speed continuous shooting, taking shots in approximately one second.
The Nikon P510 can record Full HD 1080 movie and has HDMI mini output. The 3-inch large display lets you to compose images and movies from difficult angle. Other features include ISO up to 3200, In-Camera Image Editing, Scene Modes, manual mode, and the the Easy Panorama mode that automatically combines multiple shots into a seamless 180º or 360º panoramic image.
The long zoom Nikon CoolPix P510 will be available in February for $429.95 in black and red.
