Freecom launches the Mobile Drive Sq, a portable USB 3.0 external hard drive. With a enclosure cover made of stainless steel, the drive is free from scratches and fingerprints, and the surface has been sandblasted to give it an exclusive look and feel. It is designed by Arman Emami and has got the 2012 iF product design award.
The 2.5-inch Mobile Drive Sq uses USB 3.0 interface to deliver enhanced transfer speed. It is available in 500GB and 1TB capacities. The 500GB model has a slimline design measuring 12 x 12 x 1.05 cm in 195g, while the 1TB model measures 12 x 12 x 1.3 cm and weighs 210g.
