BenQ announced a new super zoom digital camera, the GH700 with 21x optical zoom. Equipped with a Sony 16 Megapixel back-illuminated BSI CMOS image sensor for low-light performance, the camera has Handheld Night Shot Mode to deliver ultra sharp pictures – even if you’re shooting in dim environments or poorly lit subject.
The BenQ GH700 comes with a high-speed, high-efficiency digital signal processor (DSP) that enhances the processing speed by up to 30%. It also offers continuous shooting mode with High-Speed Burst shooting up to 10 16 Megapixel photos, 1cm Super Macro mode, ISO up to 6400, and HDR III Image Enhancement Technology that utilizes the exposure bracketing technique to take three photos with different exposures and combine them to create a image that’s more balanced in contrast and brightness.
BenQ’s long-zoom camera records Full HD 1080 video at 60fps and is able to shoot a still image during recording. There are also on-screen movie editing function. It comes with a 3-inch LCD display abd supports SD/SDHC up to 32GB. BenQ will also release another model without Full HD video recording, the GH600. Both GH700 and GH600 will come in black and white and will be released in December.
