Sony announced in Europe two new digital photo frames with WiFi connectivity, the S-Frame DPF-W700 and SF-Frame DPF-WA700. Both models have 8-inch 800×480 WVGA LED-backlit touchscreen display, 1GB internal memory that is enough for 4000 photos. With WiFi support, the frames can get photos from email or your friends’ Facebook uploads, and access hotos stored on your PC wirelessly. They can also display weather forecasts from AccuWeather.
The W700 and WA700 comes with card slots for SD/SDHC, Memory Stick Duo/PRO Duo, and USB port for connecting USB flash drive. The latter not only supports JPEG images, but also supports playback of MPG, AVI, MP4, MOV and MP3, ACC, WMA, LPCM media files. The WA700 also includes access to Internet radio.
The Sony S-Frame DPF-W700 and DPF-WA700 will be released in January 2012.
