Velocity Micro launches two new Android tablets, the 8-inch Cruz T408 and the 10-inch Cruz T410. Both models run Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS instead of tablet-oriented Android 3.0 Honeycomb, though Velocity Micro has added a Honeycomb-like UI. They are powered by a 1GHz Cortex A8 processor with 512MB RAM and come with 4GB internal storage.
The Cruz T408 has a 8-inch 800×600 capacitive touchscreen and the T410 gets a 10-inch 1024×600 capacitive touchscreen. They support WiFi 802.11b/g/n connectivity and sport a front-facing camera. Velocity Micro’s tablets are pre-loaded with Kindle, Amazon appstore, Angry Bird Rio and QuickOffice, and support Flash. There is a microSD card slot for expansion.
The Cruz T408 and Cruz T410 are priced at $239.99 and $299.99, respectively.
