Panasonic announced a new Full HD LCD home theater projector, the PT-AR100U (known as PT-AH1000 in Europe) with 1920x1080p Full HD resolution, 50,000:1 contrast ratio and 2800 lumens brightneess, letting home-theater enthusiasts enjoy Full-HD large screen entertainment – from movies, sports to games – in various lighting conditions. It offers 2x zoom, delivering a 120-inch diagonal image from as close as 3.5 meters (about 11.5 feet) to 7 meters (23 feet) from the screen.
The PT-AR100U is equipped with a high-power 280-watt Red-Rich Lamp and optical unit that generates 2,800 lumens of brightness for comfortable viewing. It features Dynamic Iris Pro and Pure Color Filter Pro which help reproduce a stunning 50,000:1 contrast ratio and exceptional color accuracy as well as the Dynamic Iris Pro that adjusts the PT-AR100U optical iris, the Red-Rich Lamp and gamma curve 60 times per second to produce beautiful images with accurate black level and shadow detail. You can find seven different picture modes, including Sports, Game, Cinema 1, Vivid Cinema, Normal, REC709 and Dynamic, that provide optimal performance for different video contents.
The Panasonic PT-AR100U has two HDMI inputs with support for x.v Color and Deep Color as well as two programmable 12-volt trigger terminals and VIERA Link. It will be available in October for $1999.
