Canon brings a new 12x super-zoom digital camera, the PowerShot SX150 IS with 12x optical zoom with 28mm wide angle lens. The 14.1 Megapixel camera features Canon’s DIGIC 4 image processor and offers manual-shooting capabilities, such as aperture priority and shutter priority for optimal artistic control. It gets a large 3-inch LCD display for easy viewing.
The PowerShot SX150 IS features Optical Image Stabilizer and the Intelligent IS that automatically chooses from six different modes to optimize image stabilization for the shooting condition. It supports Face Detection, ISO up to 1500, Blink Detection, Motion Detection, The camera also includes improved Smart AUTO that intelligently selects the proper settings for the camera based on 32 predefined shooting situations.
Canon’s SX150 IS supports 720p HD video recording with stereo sound. It has a dedicated movie button and supports zooming while video shooting. Coming in September, the camera is priced at $249.99.
