Canon announced two new wireless photo all-in-one printers, the PIXMA MG8220 and PIXMA MG6220, both with the ability to print, copy and scan images and document. With support for WiFi 802.11n with Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS), users can print from nearly any screen whether on a cell phone, tablet, laptop or desktop computer wirelessly. Both printers use Canon’s ChromaLife 100+ ink system with six individual ink tanks.
The MG8220 and MG6220 include the Full HD Movie Print for printing images of frames from videos captured on compatible HD Canon EOS and PowerShot Digital Cameras. They feature the new Fun-Filter Effects such as Fish-Eye, Miniature and Toy Camera; and an option to change the focus of the image to have it appear softer and blur specific aspects of the background, similar to an effect which was previously only capable when using an SLR camera.
The PIXMA MG8220 and MG6220 can produce a 4″ x 6″ borderless photo in approximately 20 seconds and deliver output at approximately 12.5 ipm for black-and-white documents and approximately 9.3 ipm for color. They offer a maximum color resolution of 9600 x 2400 dpi. The former has a 3.5-inch LCD display and the latter has a 3-inch screen. These AIO printers come equipped with the Intelligent Touch System which helps improve not only ease-of-use but productivity, and have back-lit touch sensitive buttons.
The Canon PIXMA MG8220 is priced at $299.99 while the MG6220 costs $199.99.
