Following the Lumix DMC-FZ47, Panasonic brings another 24x super-zoom digital camera, the LUMIX DMC-FZ150 as the a top-end model of the LUMIX FZ-series, replacing the FZ100 model. As the big brother of the FZ47, the new FZ150 looks exactly the same but, of course, adds new functions and improvements. The new long-zoom camera features a 12.1 Megapixel MOS image sensor and a 25mm ultra wide-angle LEICA DC VARIO-ELMARIT lens with powerful 24x optical zoom range. It is also equipped with Venus Engine that quad-circuit system for processing large amount of progressive images and full HD data at high speed.
The LUMIX FZ150 also features Full HD 1920×1080 60fps smooth video recording in AVCHD format, and supports high speed continuous shooting at 12 fps in full resolution. The camera offers a Light Speed AF of approx. 0.1 second so you will never miss any shots. Like Panasonic’s other LUMIX cameras, the FZ150 offers iA (Intelligent Auto) mode that includes POWER O.I.S. (Optical Image Stabilizer), Face Detection, Intelligent Scene Selector and Intelligent D-range Control functions, which available not only for photo shooting but also video recording. You can find a stereo zoom microphone for high-quality audio recording.
Panasonic’s new super-zoom LUMIX also adds 3D Photo mode for taking 3D images that can be enjoyed on a VIERA 3D HDTV or other MPO-compatible 3D equipment. The FZ150 comes with a 3-inch LCD display and mini HDMI output. It uses SD/SDHC/SDXC memory cards.
