Sony announced in Japan the ESSP-2000, a huge-capacity battery for business. It can also be used as a UPS for small data center. The ESSP-2000 has 2.4kWh battery capacity and offers at least ten years of optimal performances, thanks to the olivine-type lithium-ion iron phosphate batteries. It takes only about 2 hours to charge the battery to 95%.
The Sony ESSP-2000 supports up to 1000VA maximum load. It measures W490 x H610 x D750mm and weighs 90kg. Coming in September, the price is 2 Million Yen.
