Nokia announced a new smartphone, the Nokia 500 running Symbian Anna OS on a 1GHz processor. The new phone features a 3.2-inch capacitive touchscreen with 640×360 resolution, a 5 Megapixel caemra with video recording, 2GB internal storage, and FM radio receiver.
The Nokia 500 supports GPS with pre-loaded Nokia Maps, Bluetooth 2.1 and WIFi 802.11b/g connectivity. It works with 3G networks and supporting up to HSUPA speeds. The phone measures 111.3 x 53.8 x 14.1mm and weighs in at 93g. The new Symbian Anna OS offers a refreshed UI, a better browser and split-screen messaging.
Coming in Q3 2011, the Nokia 500 will be available in black and white and will be priced at Euro 150. It comes with three different-colored back covers.
