Sony announced its new Cyber-shot DSC-TX55 digital camera with a slim and stylish design. The new camera packs a 16.2 Megapixel Exmor R CMOS sensor a 5x optical zoom lens. The TX55 features the By Pixel Super Resolution technology to deliver up to 10x Clear Image Zoom without losing quality at the image sensor’s maximum resolution.
The Cyber-shot DSC-TX55 offers SteadyShot image stabilization with Active Mode; seven Picture Effect options including HDR Painting, Rich-tone Monochrome, Miniature, Toy Camera, Partial Color, Pop Color and Soft High-key; and Intelligent Sweep Panorama mode for taking up to 42.9 megapixel panoramas. It includes 3D Still Image capture mode for shooting 3D photos without the need for a bulky stereoscopic lens as well as 3D Sweep Panorama mode and Sweep Multi Angle.
The new Cyber-shot can record Full HD 1080p video. It has a 3.3-inch Xtra Fine OLED touchscreen and a memory card slot that supports Memory Stick Micro (Mark2) and microSD/SDHC flash memory cards. Sony’s Cyber-shot DSC-TX55 will be available in September for $350, in black, purple and silver colors.
