Acer releases in the UK its TravelMate 8481 lightweight notebook with a super-slim, frameless display. The 14-inch laptop is powered by 2nd generation Intel Core series Sandy Bridge processors with up to 8GB of DDR3 RAM and integrated Intel HD 3000 graphics. Dedicated NVIDIA graphics card with Optimus technology is available as option.
The TravelMate 8481 has a 14-inch 1366×768 LED-backlit LCD display. It comes with a 320GB hard drive or a 64GB SSD for storage. The notebook supports WiFi and Gigabit Ehternet connectivity and sports fingerprint reader, multi-in-one card reader, and USB 3.0 ports. It has a ultra slim design measuring just 2.2 cm at its highest point and weighs only 1.5kg.
