MSI launches two new notebooks powered by the next generation Intel Core processor, the CX640 and the CR640 for mainstream users. Both powered by the Core i3-2310M 2.1GHz CPU, the CX640-071US packs NVIDIA GeForce GT520M graphics card with Optimus technology, while the CR640-035US has integrated Intel HD 3000 graphics. They both have 4GB RAM, a 500GB hard drive, a DVD SuperMulti burner and a 7-in-1 card reader.
MSI’s CX640 and CR640 come with a 15.6-inch 1366×768 LCD display with Automatic Backlight Adjustment that tailors screen brightness by considering the lighting in your current surroundings, which helps manage power consumption and battery life. These laptops also get WiFi 802.11b/g/n connectivity, 1.3 Megapixel webcam, two USB ports, HDMI output and a 6-cell battery.
To protect the hard drive, MSI places the hard drive in the middle of the chassis and surrounding it in a unique housing that helps protect your data from the occasional drop or shock. MSI also adds Time Stamp technology for one-touch backup and restore.
The MSI CX640-071US is available for $649.99 and the CR640-035US will be available for $629.99.
