Seagate shippes its GoFlex Slim 9mm ultra slim 2.5-inch portable hard drive designed for the latest trend of portable, thin, stylish laptops and netbooks. The slim hard drive is equipped with a 7200RPM drive and a USB 3.0 interface for high-speed data transfer.
The GoFlex Slim has a ultra-slim anodized design and is about the thickness of a #2 pencil. It comes with pre-loaded premium backup software with encryption and synchronization and a 18-inch USB 3.0 cable. While the drive works on both Windows PC and Mac, Seagate will offer GoFlex Slim for Mac, a version for use specifically with Mac OS X computers that will be HFS+ formatted out–of–the–box.
